With a wealth of experience in financial services, including institutional fund management within the Lloyd’s of London insurance community, and HNW private client stockbroking at Popes Stockbrokers (now Brewin Dolphin), Kieran has an indepth knowledge of the private capital markets, involving capital raising, investor relations and communication, and is responsible for the fund-raising activities at Deepbridge. Kieran has been a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments since 2001.
Through his position on the Investment Supervisory Committee, Kieran acts as a conduit between the Executive Team at Deepbridge and the Independent Committee Team, thus ensuring the Independent Committee have access to all information required to assist them in making sound and strategic investment decisions on a timely basis.

Savvas is the Head of Life Sciences at Deepbridge. Prior to joining Deepbridge, Savvas enjoyed a 15 year career in the City, working as an investment banker at JP Morgan, Bear Stearns, Shore Capital, Cantor Fitzgerald, and Panmure Gordon. Savvas was also CEO of telemedicine business Now Healthcare Group. As a highly acclaimed analyst, Savvas has won multiple awards, most recently in 2015 when Savvas was ranked 2nd overall in the prestigious Reuters Starmine survey, a position he also held in 2014. In the same year, Savvas was also runner-up in the CityAM Analyst of the Year awards. Savvas holds a PhD in psychopharmacology from Nottingham University and a BSc (Hons) degree in pharmacology from Manchester University.

Adrian’s previous roles include 10 years as IT Director at Hewlett Packard and 7 years as CEO of an Irish government commercial organisation where he introduced AWS in 2011 to dramatically reduce operating costs whilst broadening content. Most recently, Adrian has been Commercial Director at Trinity College Dublin where he grew the business from 15.2 million annual EBITDA to 28 million in 5 years. Adrian has also been an early stage investor in many USA technology start-ups where he gained valuable experience on how to scale tech-focused innovations.

Andrew is an experienced venture capitalist, with experience of nurturing enterprises to build value, in the UK, Europe, Asia and North America. Andrew has worked extensively across the biotechnology, natural resources and cleantech sectors, providing guidance with business planning, fundraising, corporate transactions and strategy development.
A Yale University graduate, Andrew was admitted to the Bar in New York in 1981 and worked as a securities, financing and mergers and acquisitions attorney prior to utilising his extensive experience within working directly with companies in accessing the venture capital markets.
Within the Deepbridge senior management team, Andrew oversees strategic development and deal structuring to ensure investors are best represented and investee companies are best positioned to transact growth and co-funding opportunities. Before joining Deepbridge, Andrew joined the management team at AlgaeCytes Limited, a biotechnology company, most recently serving as COO.

With a BA (Hons) in Management from the University of Manchester, Ben’s other corporate experience includes being commercial director at Possum, market leaders in the provision, installation and support of many types of electronic assistive technology.

(NASDAQ:BIV, which grew to a market capitalization of $345 million, and was acquired by Genzyme Corporation in October 2007), and Medirace Limited (later Medeva PLC, traded on both the London Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange, and subsequently acquired by Celltech Group PLC, now UCB, for £554 million). An Honorary Professor at Imperial College London, Chris holds an M.D. from the University of Wales School of Medicine, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

With a wealth of experience in the venture capital sector, Fuchsia was also a co-founder and inaugural committee member of Greenshoots, the junior branch of the Enterprise Investment Scheme Association (EISA).

Subsequently he undertook training in various medical specialities prior to being awarded AFRCSI from Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland in 2001. Subsequently he undertook general practice training in the Mersey Deanery and was awarded Merit in the MRCGP examinations 2006. Further he studied at Manchester University to obtain Certificate of Occupational Health. Gary has been a GP Principal and Partner in an 8000 patient practice in Cheshire. This experience gives him an understanding of front-line medical services and a distinct insight into the needs of patients and clinicians. Gary is also clinical lead for Primary Care, a Governing Body member at Halton CCG and has been selected to study on the Nye Bevan program at the NHS leadership Academy.

Geoff is the Chief Executive of Bionow, the life sciences membership organisation for the North of England. Having founded the business in 2011, Bionow has 15 University members and 300 industry members across the North of England and North Wales. Geoff is regularly invited to advise and comment on industry requirements and represent the Bionow membership both regionally and nationally. Previously, Geoff founded 2 biotech companies, Biorite Ltd and Advanced Biomedical Ltd, both spin-out companies from the University of Manchester focused on developing point of care diagnostic technologies. Geoff has a degree in Biochemistry and a PhD from the School of Pharmacy, University of Manchester where he began his career undertaking postdoctoral research in the area of enhanced payload responsive liposomal drug delivery systems.
Geoff is also a Board Member and Treasurer of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences, a member of the Liverpool LEP Health and Life Sciences Advisory Board, member of Health Innovation Manchester Exec group and member of Northeast LEP Health and Life Sciences Advisory Board.

Later Liz spent 7 years at the University of Reading as their IP/Legal Advisor. Then in 2012 Liz joined Science & Technology Facilities Council as Licensing Manager. She is based at the STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory and now forms part of the STFC innovation management team with responsibility for a portfolio of spin-out companies and licensing deals at both Rutherford Appleton Laboratory and Sci-Tech Daresbury.

Nagy Habib is Professor of Hepatobiliary Surgery, at the Department of Cancer Surgery, at Imperial College London. With principal research activities focusing on the improvement of surgical technologies, Nagy has also been instrumental in the development of remediation and/or cure of diseases of the liver as either a complement or replacement to surgery with particular focus on gene therapy, the use of stem cells and immunotherapy. Nagy has also pioneered novel clinical trials for the treatment of liver cancer. Nagy has extensively published on a wide range of related topics, and is the inventor of, and co-author of the first publication about the use for, radiofrequency in devices used in liver surgery. Awarded by the Advisory Committee for Clinical Excellence, which is given in recognition of exceptional contributions from NHS consultants, Nagy has been named as one of Britain’s top surgeons by the Saturday Times Magazine in 2011.

Prior to joining Deepbridge, Phillip worked as a paraplanner and senior manager within advisory businesses and high-street name financial services providers. Phillip’s most recent role prior to joining Deepbridge was as Head of Client Services for a community care company.

Philip is a professional business consultant with a wealth of experience in the Financial Services sector. With extensive knowledge of the financial advisory sector, Philip’s role with Deepbridge is to support our growing adviser community across central England.
With over two decades’ sector experience, prior to joining Deepbridge, Philip had previously developed and implemented client service platforms for advisory businesses and worked closely with a number of large advisory businesses to grow key areas of their business.

Rebecca is a paediatric surgeon at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. A member of the Royal College of Surgeons (England) and the British Association of Paediatric Surgeons, she has experience in surgical and medical settings in India, Tanzania, South Africa and Cambodia. Graduating from The University of Sheffield Medical School, Rebecca also holds a Masters’ in Health Research from the University of Lancaster and the Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. She is an Advanced Paediatric Life Support Instructor and has presented her research at many national and international surgical conferences.

Sam Piddington rejoined Deepbridge in May 2019, after previously being a Partner in the business between 2010 and 2012. A chartered accountant and corporate financier, she previously worked with a number of leading accountancy companies and City firms, including Andersen (now Deloitte) and Hawkpoint Partners (now Canaccord). She will be working with Deepbridge investee companies to further develop and action exit strategies and co-funding opportunities.

Sandie joined Deepbridge in April 2016 as Financial Accountant, before becoming Finance manager in 2019, following extensive experience in various Analyst, Financial and Management Accountant roles, including most recent experience with Merrill Lynch.
Sandie reports directly to Deepbridge’s CFO, overseeing the accountancy processes of Deepbridge and ensuring accounting standards are maintained to the highest level.

Simon is Chief Executive and board member of the British Hydropower Association (BHA), the only UK trade membership association focusing solely on the unique demands of the hydropower sector. The BHA actively promotes and campaigns for hydropower in the UK, to increase the awareness of its quality and scope, on a global scale. Prior to joining the BHA, Simon held senior roles in other consumer and trade membership associations.
A 3-Dimensional designer by qualification, Simon is a non-exec director of a Liverpool based visual communications company, with a career that has embraced international branded drinks, hotels and leisure, electronic entertainment, magazine publishing and internet businesse

Simon is a Chartered Member of the CISI, is DipPFS qualified and has worked, as a stockbroker or financial adviser, for various financial services organisations including St James’s Place, Edward Jones and Siddall’s.

With over seven years experience in tax efficient investments, Simone runs Client Relations for the London and South East team, providing an outstanding level of customer service to clients, intermediaries and other professionals. Simone has a strong history in Project Management and works closely with the Sales & Marketing department on corporate events. She also manages the CRM database ensuring this is up to date regularly. Simone holds a strong technical background and previously worked at Foresight Group where she managed the design and build of 7 offices for the group including 2 floors in The Shard.

Steven joined Deepbridge in 2015 after 2 years with Pro Media Consultants, where he spent over two years as a relationship manager responsible for fund-raising and investor relations. He has experience of raising money for tax efficient vehicles, and in establishing relationships with HNW investors and IFAs in the UK. Steven holds a BA (Hons) in Business Management and in 2015 completed the EIS Diploma.

Tony has over 25 years project experience having carried out varied projects within companies such as Deloitte LLP, Matalan PLC and the airline BMI.
