The Relativity of Risk

Operating in the tax-efficient investment space, I, quite rightly, have to remind advisers and investors that investing in un-listed growing UK businesses is high risk.  Small companies are more likely to fail than blue chips, etc.

In Bill Bryson’s latest book he refers to a Japanese report that concluded 55 per cent of ‘significant’ inventions since the Second World War were created by the British, compared to 6 per cent the Japanese themselves and 21 per cent by Americans.
